How the weight is worked out
Every shape reduces to the same sum — cross-section area × length × density.
Weight (kg) = Area (mm²) × Length (mm) × Density (g/cm³) ÷ 1,000,000
Densities follow ASTM A240 / A276 for stainless grades. This is
theoretical weight: mill rolling tolerance normally moves the delivered weight by
2–5%, and we invoice on actual weighbridge weight.
